Among the treasure to be offered up by Captain Company (the name of Warren Publishing's mail-order division) were badges, posters, books, records, comics and 8mm movies, as well as more unique items like the Frankenstein Head Radio Speaker, the Horrorscope Movie Viewer, deluxe rubber masks of all the great classic monsters (skilfully moulded by the great Don Post), glow-in-the-dark jigsaw puzzles, plaster mould monster statures, horror make-up kits and much, much more.
So what happened to this array of gruesome goodies? Sadly, when Warren Publishing collapsed in 1983, virtually their entire warehouse, including the remaining Captain Company merchandise (some of it nearly 20 years old and in perfect condition) was consigned to a dumpster in New York (some material, including original artwork, was saved and sold off at auction by liquidators).
